Paddle Steamer Trips from Eastbourne August 6th - 12th, 1927

On Saturday 6th August Devonia ran between Brighton and Eastbourne with an afternoon cruise round the Sovereign Lightship. She took the cross channel sailings to Boulogne, giving about 3 hours ashore, on Sunday 7th, Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th. On Thursday 11th she sailed westwards for a day trip to Sandown on the Isle of Wight and then had Friday 12th off service at Newhaven.


Waverley was off service at Newhaven on Saturday 6th, She ran between Brighton and Eastbourne with an afternoon cruise round the Sovereign Lightship on Sunday 7th and Monday 8th. On Tuesday 9th she was rostered only from Brighton and did not call at Eastbourne. On Wednesday 10th she was back on the Brighton, Eastbourne and round the Sovereign Lightship route. On Thursday 11th she ran to Folkestone and Ramsgate. On Friday 12th she took the cross channel trip to Boulogne.


Smallest of the three, the Brighton Belle ran on Saturday 6th morning and afternoon trips to Hastings incorporating a mid Channel morning cruise to view the shipping and a cruise towards Dungeness in the afternoon. On Sunday 7th she ran a morning cruise towards Newhaven Breakwater and an afternoon cruise to Hastings and on  towards Dungeness. On Monday 8th she repeated the Saturday roster. On Tuesday 9th she ran to Brighton. On Wednesday 10th she ran morning and early evening cruses cruises to Hastings and an afternoon cruise towards Newhaven. On Thursday 11th she came up from Brighton to run a late afternoon cruise round the Sovereign Lightship before taking an evening run across to Hastings. On Friday 12th she ran a long afternoon cruise to Brighton.
